555789_597801563583065_30271477_nWe are excited to announce that our Endurance House Corporate Team is growing! There’s a lot going on at Endurance House: we’re preparing for 5 store openings in the next 3 months, we trained those franchise partners and their staff last week in Middleton, and we’re engaged in high-level discussions with several strategic partners to bring exciting new products and services to Endurance House stores. We recognize the importance of investing in key personnel to lead our strategic growth, and we feel very fortunate to be welcoming Scott Yates to the Endurance House family this month. Scott will be our Director of Strategy and Analytics.  He brings a wealth of business, consulting, training, and finance experience to this role, not to mention a deep passion for triathlon! He’s a top-ranked age group triathlete based in Washington DC and has raced all distances from sprint to Ironman.  Scott has worked for many years as a management and philanthropic advisory consultant for DC based firms Arabella Advisors and BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting). Scott also served as a relationship and investment manager at the Northern Trust and J.P. Morgan.Scott is an adjunct assistant professor of finance and economics in the Undergraduate School at University of Maryland University College.  He is a USA Hockey certified youth hockey instructor and has coached teams in Connecticut and Washington, DC.  Scott earned a BA with distinction from Yale University and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at University of Virginia. Scott’s role will initially focus on several key strategic projects: his modeling, strategic planning, and analytical skills will be invaluable in developing and rolling out new programs that are in the works. Scott’s background and experiences will also be invaluable in our strategic planning efforts, especially with our plans to double in size by next year,  as we focus on scaling every aspect of our franchise model: training, support, compliance, technology, marketing, etc. Scott is a native of New Hampshire and a former hockey player and coach. Scott and his wife Mackenzie, also an accomplished triathlete, live in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC with their two dogs Kirby and Maya. They are both racing Ironman Cozumel this November.
